Lobo Village Overview
Partnering with American Campus Communities (ACC), Lobo Development facilitated the first student housing project since the early 1990’s on UNM property. Research completed by Lobo Development revealed a significant improvement in student’s graduation rates and GPA’s if they resided on campus, and UNM had a meager supply of 2,400 beds for an undergraduate population of 27,000 students. It was this research that led a campus wide initiative to increase the supply of student housing and also provide the students with a housing product they want. Lobo Village is part 1 of a three part project with ACC, to increase UNM’s student housing supply from 2,400 to around 5,000 beds within just 4 years.
Lobo Village is an apartment style fully furnished student housing complex with 4 residents per apartment who share a living room and kitchen. With a total of 864 beds, it provided a much needed housing product for the students at UNM. The complex was 100% leased out in its first year, and will likely be 100% leased for year two.
Lobo Village is conveniently located on South Campus with a shuttle route, city bus route, and is within walking distance to the Pit and University Stadium. Amenities include a fitness center, computer center, resort-style pool, sand volleyball and much more.
